CCBF #MakingYouStronger

The Children’s Cancer & Blood Foundation (CCBF) is the largest & oldest charitable organization in the US dedicated to the care of children suffering from blood diseases and cancers. CCBF funding has helped revolutionize the treatment of children suffering from cancers & childhood blood disorders. Over the years, CCBF has helped the Division grow into one of the most comprehensive programs of its kind.

Currently CCBF is facing a problem that is occurring for the first time since we opened our doors sixty years ago and it is a problem we are very happy to be working on. We are learning how to transition our adult patients from pediatrics into adult divisions. Furthermore, we are learning to treat cancers and blood disorders as they evolve during the aging process.You see, not too long ago, many of our patients with cancers and blood disorders had a life expectancy of around twelve years.

Now, largely because of treatments developed by our researchers and scientists, our patients are living full and healthy lives. We are proud to support the tireless work of our physician-scientists each day. Together, we work to #makeyoustronger!
